Transfer a Spotify playlist to Apple Music without blind guessing.
Preview the source, inspect uncertain matches, and connect Apple Music only when the destination playlist is ready to be created.
The current web flow accepts a public Spotify playlist or track link. It does not need your Spotify login. It searches Apple Music, groups results by confidence, and asks for Apple Music access only at the final creation step.
Before you start
- Use a normal playlist link. In Spotify, open the playlist and choose Share → Copy link to playlist.
- Confirm signed-out access. Open the link in a private browser window. If the title and tracks are not visible there, the public-link flow may not be able to read it.
- Expect catalog differences. Local files, podcasts, regional releases, and removed editions may not have a direct Apple Music equivalent.
- Use the destination Apple Music account. Connect the account where you want the new playlist to appear.
- Leave time for review. A large or version-heavy playlist can require a few manual decisions.
PlaylistXfer does not modify the Spotify source. The result is a new Apple Music playlist built from the Apple Music catalog items you approve.
The transfer, step by step
- Paste a public Spotify playlist or track URL. PlaylistXfer validates the URL type before sending it to the preview service.
- Preview the source. Check the playlist name, owner, artwork, and first tracks. This confirms that the link resolves to the item you intended.
- Choose the analysis scope. Full playlist is the normal option. Faster 50- or 150-track modes are dry-run tools and only the analyzed rows can be created.
- Match with Apple Music. PlaylistXfer uses recording identifiers when available, then title, artist, album, duration, and storefront context to find candidates.
- Review uncertain rows. Approve an acceptable candidate or skip it. Missing tracks remain excluded rather than receiving a forced substitute.
- Connect Apple Music. Authorization happens late, after the read-only preview and analysis are complete.
- Create and inspect the receipt. PlaylistXfer creates a new playlist and reports what moved, what was skipped, and what could not be added.
How to read the match report
Strong evidence connects the Spotify source with an Apple Music catalog song.
A likely candidate exists, but version, artist, album, or duration needs your judgment.
No result is safe enough to include automatically. The track stays out.
Focus on version words such as live, acoustic, remix, remaster, radio edit, clean, and explicit. Compare duration when titles look identical. A compilation appearance may use different artwork while still pointing to the same recording.
Skipping one uncertain song is usually better than placing a convincing but wrong version into a playlist you may not audit again.

If something does not work
The playlist will not preview: copy a fresh playlist URL and test it signed out. Private, expired, personalized, or non-playlist links are common causes.
Many songs are missing: check whether the playlist contains local files, podcasts, regional editions, or obscure versions. Also confirm that the Apple Music storefront matches the destination account’s country.
Matching succeeds but creation fails: reconnect Apple Music, confirm that the subscription and library access are active, then retry the creation step. Do not restart analysis unless the report itself is wrong.
A wrong version is suggested: skip it if no acceptable candidate appears. Finish the transfer and add the correct song manually.
Permissions and privacy
The public-link preview does not ask for Spotify credentials. Apple Music access is requested only when writing the destination playlist. The web flow sends the Music User Token for that authorized write operation and is not designed to store it in the transfer database.
Transfer reports are temporary so a review can survive a refresh. Operational events use safe counts and status categories rather than Apple Music tokens, emails, or full Spotify URLs. See the Privacy Policy for the current retention and service details.
